his original electronic recordings began over ten years ago using nothing more than a computer and tracker software. since then he has amassed a collection of hardware from keyboards, sequencers, drum machines and samplers to effects processors and recording equipment. in an attempt to simplify the recording process and focus more on the music, he has gone back to a more basic setup using a single keyboard controller and a computer for the majority of his work. however, he occasionally brings out some of the hardware to get just the right sound or feel he is looking for.

tepresto (real name rafal poreba) is a 29-year-old polish who was born and raised in the centre of warsaw, poland. tepresto stands for a sentimental, warm and intelligend sound, often the listener gets accompanied by depressive feelings, afterwards the very important figure called “hope” follows, which is emphasized in his productions in a frequent way. these figures symbolize his life, his hard childhood and past. with “hope” he wants to give the listener the power to never give up, no matter how hard are the circumstances in life. his productions and his style are versatile and every single track is a new journey, far from the mainstream and intended to be enjoyed by connoisseurs and passionists.

gerd´s obsession is composing beats and freaky soundscapes. jürgen, who studied graphic-design in the early 90′s is working now as a freelance designer and is the head behind the visual concept of the projects both are joining. he is enthusiastic about creating smooth soundscapes, rhythmic beats and clicky noises.

the result of putting together their different personalities is a wide range of sounds between minimal electronic, experimental ambient and moving melodies. “…watching the world in every situation, catching every single moment, from above and below…”, they describe their sound, “audio needs to be a journey with many, many pictures in your head. empathy – everyone and everything has a story behind. and that is what we try to express in our sound concepts.”

for now eight years they have created music under several projects. starting as “sternenspringer” in 2001, as “systemton” in 2003 and jürgen´s solo project “polarproject” in 2005. since 2007 they are also the heads behind “clear-cut-records” a netlabel for minimal moments.

they have developed several releases, contributions added to different compilations and composing special remixes for friends. music as “sternenspringer” can be found on “tonatom.net” and on their own sternenspringer-website. 4×4 electro beats mixed with ambient soundscapes and experimental influences.
music as “systemton” can be found on “inoquo.com” and on the systemton-website. minimal and reduced sounds to the max. polarproject music can be found on archive.org, for example the “urban nomad”-release on filamentrecordings or the “no name” release on decisive sound.

the brand new project born in 2007 is “funkzelle”. deep house, progressive house. technopop.
