steven reitz is co-founder of tonkultur-berlin. as a dj he has played since 1999 at various events. since his move to berlin and founded the label, he deals also with producing his own tracks. this was followed by appearances as a dj, liveact and some releases.

in the middle of the 80ies I had „contact” with electronic music for the first time. with the change of the decades and the reinforced appearance of various electronic acts just like klf, dust brothers or the prodigy, my consumption also increased in this kind of sound. besides, the breakbeats of the early 90ies and the later rather slower however the more breaking through beats out of the uk had it done to me especially. indeed, change was always important to me. thow my cd collection did not grow in only one direction. influences, not to be neglected were and are artists from different kinds of styles. aggression-loaded bands like body count just as a lot of „fat” hiphop-basses and skills of dr. dre or naughty by nature belong to it. and dont forget these countless productions since the middle of the 90ies by the master himself: timbaland! Even the pop culture of the last decade is a certain part of my today's „musical condition”. Nevertheless, the component of electronic sounds had the highest value for me since that time. it is always great to me to get into contact with new styles of sound over and over again and to ascertain how many-faceted any single is in itself at the same time. it came like it had to come in 2002 and a friend had software in his luggage. so I began to produce my first own tracks. since this day I cant imagine, not to express myself by music, „packing” moods and emotions in sound and to let advance - still being free in this whole context, to be able to combine the most different styles and to blur borders! to see the listener afterwards dipping into my world of sounds for a few minutes and, beside, to receive constructive criticism are important things to me in a certain process of development. greetz and thanxx at this point to daniel-sucker-san a.k.a. „mckenzie”!

biography

mika flanger, formerly known as beatmik, is a dj of electronic music since the beginning of the 21 century. The dj-sets of the 27 year old are each a new appearance - deep, more techno-like, or minimal. In his career mika flanger did gigs in various well-known clubs such as maria, 103 club, pulp mansion and many more around berlin, brandenburg and niedersachsen. in december 2007 mika flanger and three friends founded the netlabel tonkultur-berlin, where also appeared his first release. since then his musical development and his productions got more upgrown. His latest release „mika flanger - well done ep” was a great success for mika, and let his enthusiasm even more grow, too.

biography

born in a middle town of central russia, anton abramov aka megatony spent most of all his childhood in close connection with music, listening to everything from retro-disco records of his parents to undeground techno on cassettes decks.

at the new millennium he grew up and begin to keep up on electronic music. he begin to mix tracks and performs in clubs of large capacities. „this was time of first discotheques and parties in clubs. I heard many mixes of famous djs and musicians and I wanted to be the same...” anton moved to saint petersburg for the purpose to get education and to have a career of musician, due to saint petersburg having a lot of opportunities for personal promotion. anton performs in some saint petersburgs clubs and just recently began promoting his own tracks to labels. under name „megatony”, he produces music, mixing house, electro, and techno-electronic, he also organizes parties and events. also, there are joint projects being composed by megatony and musician aikidz - „a&m”. a&m its a live project, in which weave originals sounds and melodies with charge modern techno and tech-house. „magic melodies & sounds make my music original...”

biography

paula antomarioni a.k.a. paulice born in argentina, always has been in touch with music, since she was a child, passing through some choral activity, flute and guitar playing, and a fleeting presence in an alternative rock-pop band. her musical background has also been strongly influenced by classical, soul, blues, jazz, funk and latin rhythms. paulice got into electronic music around lately nineties. mainly she was delighted by early minimal and acid tech house, chicago influenced from that times. nowadays she shows an appetite to fusionate many styles, all her different roots into a minimalist frame from techno to house, not forgetting about old skool sounds, both shown in her productions and sets. shes also the co-owner of the labels „miniatura records” and „mischievous musique” next to his partner „grau”.
